They also have a clip on another page of that site that backs them up. It is a bit odd that the second clip comes from Fox News as well.
They are correct in saying that, however that alone is a small portion of the clips Fox News used to demonstrate their point which in turn is a small opening segment to a much longer discussion.
On the second page,it was stated:
"Fox cut away from Biden awfully quick, and for good reason: the audience was about to unleash a torrent of boos."However, it seems that it is more likely that they cut away quickly because they cut away quickly from all of the clips. The article goes on to say that:
"Fox News would have made their point just fine if they hadn't included the misleading part of this clip."
That would make it more likely that it was a mistake.
Audiences were mislead to believe that the clip upheld the assertion made. There is a big difference between that and misleading the audience into believing a false assertion.
But lets look at the other clips:
American workers are sound. We have a good capital stock.
There does seem to be some sign of stability in January and February better than if that were not the case.
These two statements don't seem to be overwhemingly positive about the state of the economy.
The core strength of the economy is middle-class workers.
This does not appear to be saying anything about how strong the economy is, just where that strength is to be found.
Remember that all this is just being used as an illustration for the sole purpose of introducing a discussion.
most egregious? Really?
